Inserting addresses in correspondence

Wendy Lyon (Customer) asked a question.

Inserting addresses in correspondence

There are a bewildering number of options to insert a field for the addressee's postal address in a Word precedent. What is the simple way just to insert the address so that it shows one line at a time and without any double-spacing or blank lines in between populated fields?

    Hi @Wendy Lyon (Customer),

Thank you for posting on LEAP Community Discussions.

I am unsure what kind of format you would like to insert the addressee's postal address, however you may use the following fields to assist you:

    • [Address] Postal Address = this will return the full postal address separated by commas in a single line.
    • [Address] Postal Address (down) = this will return the full postal address separating by multiple lines

Same applies for Street Address, DX Address and P.O. Box Address fields.

Let us know if you require further assistance.

    Best regards,

    Seng

Thank you - I don't want separated by commas though. And also, if the addressee is in a foreign country, there is always a blank line in between the city and country name. I want to get rid of this too?

      Hi @Wendy Lyon (Customer),

There is a "hidden" field for Street Address (only) that allows you to insert without commas.

      1. From the Insert Fields window, tick "Show hidden".
      2. Find and insert the field: [Address] Street Address no commas.

Unfortunately there isn't one for Postal Address, I would suggest posting this additional field request to our Ideas Hub under Feedback and Ideas tab.

In regards to the blank line between the City and Country name, I am not able to reproduce this issue. I believe this may require further investigation by our support team to identify the issue directly.

      Best regards,

      Seng

The blank line appears to be because Leap wants to insert a postcode in that field. However, not every address has a postcode. If there is no postcode the blank line remains.
