How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Accounting > Reports > Client Funds > Client Accounts Overdrawn Report

Purpose: Lists transactions causing a negative matter Client Accounts balance at any point within the specified period, including transaction type, reference number, matter details and resulting balance.

Examples of such transactions include:

Client Account payments
Reversals of Client Account receipts
Client Account journals that transferred funds into another matter
Reversals of Client Account journals

Both balance calculations and the date range filter are based on the Transaction Date.
A transaction is included if it caused the matter’s Client Account ledger to be overdrawn at any point within the specified period, even if the overdrawn state was later rectified (e.g., through a reversal).

Filters:

Start Date	Displays all transactions that are overdrawn from this date.
End Date	Displays all transactions that are overdrawn until this date.
Bank Account	A List of General Client Accounts. The report will display transactions for the selected Bank Account.

Report Fields:

Date	The date of the transaction.
Type	The type of transaction that was overdrawn on the matter.
Ref	The transaction number.
Matter Details	Displays the following: Matter Number – The matter the transaction relates to. Client Name – The client cards on the matter. Matter Description - The matter description set in the matter type.
Reason	The transaction reason.
Amount	The Amount of the transaction. Figures in brackets '( )' represent either a withdrawal or a receipt reversal (negative value).
Client Funds Balance	The Client Fund balance after the transaction.
