Learn how to create an Estate Account in LEAP.

From the LEAP Matter List, click New Matter.

The New Matter window will open.
Expand the Estate Administration matter type folder then select Probate.
Click OK.

The New Matter Details window will open.
Complete the matter details then click OK.

Complete the following table types that are required in a Probate matter:

Table Type	Description
Deceased	Record the Deceased's name and date of death.
Beneficiary	Complete for the details to populate into the Distribution Statement section of the Estate Account.
Beneficiary Details	This will appear once the beneficiary has been named. You must complete the details on gift. If you wish to record multiple gifts to the same beneficiary a new Beneficiary table type must be created with the same name. This has to be done directly below the first entry for the beneficiary. Right-click on the beneficiary table type and select your preferred option for creating a new beneficiary table type.
Asset table type	All of the info must be completed for each asset. To add an asset right-click on Asset > New Asset.
Liability Table Type	All info must be completed for each liability. To add a liability right-click on Liability > New Liability.
Income/Expense	The Income and Expense table types must be completed for each relevant year. Multiple entries for each can be added by right-clicking on the table types.
