Once the interest has been calculated it can create the transactions on a matter level then update the LEAP Interest Calculator to prevent interest being calculated over the same date range.  Calculations are saved to the matter as a PDF, which can then be shared with your client if required.

To access the InterestPlus app:

The user is presented with the following screen which shows the transactions since the last time the calculation was run, it intersperses these with the interest that has been calculated between these transactions, showing the breakdown for the interest amount at that point.

• • Account: The default bank account on the matter, or branch (if not set), is displayed. However, by clicking the dropdown, you can change this to select another account.

  • Last Calc. Date & Calculate To Date: The date the last interest calculation was run is shown, and the date that the interest is going to be calculated to is shown, this can be changed to calculate to a different date. The Calculate To Date field can be a past or present date but cannot be in the future.

  • Do Not Apply Interest if Less Than:  It is possible not to apply interest if the interest amount calculated is below a certain value. Enter the value in the field.
