Estates

There have been many changes made to the matter types in Estates as follows:

• Probate, Estate Dispute and Letters of Administration Matter Types

1. Probate Office/District Probate Registry matter card and Probate Office/District Probate Registry Details matter table have been added.
2. Revenue Commissioners matter card has been added.
3. Tailte Éireann matter card has been added.
4. Life Insurance Company matter card and Policy Details matter table have been added.
5. Bank matter card and Bank Details matter table have been added.
6. Pension Company matter card and Pension Policy Details matter table have been added.
7. Trustee matter card and Trust Details matter table have been added.
8. Nursing home matter card has been added.
9. Health Service Executive matter card has been added.
10. Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal) matter card and Nursing Home Support Scheme Details matter table have been added.
11. Credit Union matter card and Credit Union Account Details matter table have been added.
12. Post Office matter card and Post Office Account Details matter table have been added.
13. Ireland State Savings (Prize Bonds) matter card and Prize Bond Details matter table (to hold up to 6 x Prize Bond details) have been added.

• Estate Dispute Matter type

1. Claimant matter card, Claimant's Solicitor, Defendant, Defendant's Solicitor, Court and Counsel matter cards have been added. Court Details matter table has also been added.

• Variation matter type

1. Trustee and Revenue Commissioners matter cards have been added.

• Calculated Critical Dates - Estate Dispute, Probate and Letter of Administration matter types

1. Grant of Probate Date has been added.

• This date links to and automates and calculates the s.117 Application Limitation Date (this must be applied for within 6 months of Grant of Probate)
• This date links to and automates the CAT Payable Date. If before 31st August in a given year, the CAT is payable on 31st October of that year. If after 31st August in a given year, the CAT is payable on 31st of the following year. These calculations are made and populated for you in the Calendar and Tasks tab in LEAP.
• Critical Date - Letters of Administration

1. Grant of Letter of Administration has been added.

Personal Injury

• An Injuries Resolution Board (formerly PIAB) folder has been added to matter types across Personal Injury and the following forms have been added:

1. Schedule of special damages [LL-IRE-PI-022]
2. Certificate of loss of earnings [LP-IRE-P1-002]
3. Withdrawal of application under section 47 of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board Act (Form No. 2) [LL-IRE-PI-021]
4. Notice to respondent(s) under section 13 of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board Act (Form No. 1) [LL-IRE-PI-020]
5. Claimant declaration [LP-IRE-PI-003]
6. Injuries resolution board application form [LP-IRE-PI-001]
7. Injuries resolution board fatal accident application form [LP-IRE-PI-004]
8. Injuries resolution board medical assessment form (form b) - information for medical practitioners [LP-IRE-PI-005]
