Includes the following matter-related filters:

• Archived Status: Filters results based on whether a matter has been archived: 
  • Non Archived (default): Displays only Currently Non Archived Matters. 
  • Archived: Displays only Currently Archived Matters. 
  • All: Displays all matters, including those that have been archived.

NOTE:

• • • Whether a matter is archived is determined by its current status, not its status as of the selected 'At Date'.
    • Matters that were active on the 'At Date' but have since been archived will only be included if you select Currently Archived Matters or All Matters.
• Matter Type: Filters results to include only matters that match any of the selected matter types.
• Matter Status: Filters results to include only matters that match any of the selected statuses (e.g. Complete, In Progress). 

NOTE: This filter is only active when the Archived Status option is set to Currently Non Archived; otherwise, it remains hidden and inactive. 

• Reporting Group: Filters results to include only matters that have been assigned to any of the selected Reporting Goups. 

Filters results to only include matters that have been assigned to any of the Billing Categories selected. The default option is All Selected. 

Includes the following three filters, which work together to only include matters where any of the selected staff members (from the Staff list) act in the designated Staff Type. 

• Inc. Inactive Staff: Provides an option to either include or exclude Inactive Staff Members from the Staff list. 

NOTE:

• • A Staff member is considered Inactive if their Current Staff Member option is togged off under the Access & Permissions in the Staff Details window. 
  • The Staff list dynamically updates based on the 'Include Inactive Staff' option setting.
• Staff Type: Filters results to only include matters where any of the selected staff members act in this designated staff type: 
  • Staff Responsible 
  • Staff Acting
  • Staff Assisting
  • Credit
• Staff: Provides a list of staff members for select from. 

Example: If a user selects Staff A from the Staff list and Staff Responsible as the Staff Type, the report will only include matters where Staff A is designated as the Staff Responsible. Matters where the Staff Responsible is not Staff A will be excluded from the report, providing a focused view based on the specified staff members and their role within matters.

• Draft Invoices: Provides an option to include or exclude draft invoices from the calculation of Debtors - Credit amounts.
  • Yes: Includes draft invoices from the calculation of Debtors - Credit amounts.
  • No: Excludes draft invoices from the calculation of Debtors - Credit amounts.
    • NOTE: This setting does not impact the calculation of balances for WIP and unbilled disbursements, since the report treats items on draft invoices as unbilled. 
• Tax: Provides an option to display amounts inclusive or exclusive of tax. 
• Matters With Nil Balances: Provides an option to include or exclude matters with nil balances. 
  • Yes: Include matters with nil balances in the report.
  • No: Exclude matters with nil balances from the report.

NOTE: 'Matters with Nil Balances' refers to matters where all of the following have zero balances as of the selected 'At Date':

The matter's aggregate Client Accounts balance (excluding Protected Funds balances). 

NOTE:

• The figure is determined by adding together the matter's Client Accounts 'Available Balance' and 'Uncleared Amount' as of the 'At Date'. 
• This field specifically reflects the aggregate matter balance of all relevant General Client Accounts and does not encompass 'Controlled Trust Accounts'. 
• The amount is expected to match the Client Accounts Trial Balance Report when the two reports share the same 'At Date'. Therefore, when computing the amount, the field captures Client Account transactions based on their Transaction Date rather than their Entry Date.
