How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Accounting > Reports > Client Funds > Controlled Trust Accounts > Controlled Trust Accounts Ledger

Purpose: Provides a central hub for downloading ledgers of Controlled Trust Accounts within a specified period across all matters. The ledger can be generated based on either Transaction Date or Entry Date, as per user selection.

The report includes both active and closed Controlled Trust Accounts.
The report displays ledgers for different Controlled Trust Accounts on separate pages.

Filters:

Date Range

Includes transactions within the specified period based on the selected Run By option:

Transaction Date: Captures transactions with a Transaction Date within the specified Date Range.
Entry Date: Captures transactions with an Entry Date within the specified Date Range.

Both dates are determined based on the transaction window.

Run By

Sort the report by:

Entry Date
Transaction Date

Report Fields:

Date	The date of the transaction. Note that: If the Entry Date and the Transaction Date are not the same, both dates will be shown, and the Entry Date will be marked with an asterisk (*).
Reference	The transaction number.
Paid to/Received From & Reason	Displays the Payee or Payer of the transaction, and the transaction reason.
Withdrawal	Bank Fees and Withdrawal transactions. NOTE: A reversing entry is indicated by the amount enclosed in parentheses within the Withdrawal column.
Deposit	Interest and Deposit transactions. NOTE: A reversing entry is indicated by the amount enclosed in parentheses within the Deposit column.
Balance	The Controlled Trust Account balance.
