Import photos, videos, and other files into Matters by sharing them between your mobile device and LEAP Matters, or from LEAP Matters to other apps.

Sharing Files to a Matter in LEAP

You can save files from the following apps directly to your LEAP matter:

  • Nebo
  • Notes
  • OneNote
  • Photos
  • GoodNotes
  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Files
  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • One Drive and more…

Import your handwritten or typed notes from Nebo to your LEAP matter in multiple formats:

  • Text
  • PDF
  • HTML
  • Word (.docx)

Sharing Files from Nebo

 

To share files from Nebo to LEAP on your mobile, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Open Nebo.

  2. Tap the import icon once you have finished your note.

  3. Tap Export.

  4. Select the file format.

  5. Find and tap .

  6. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  7. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  8. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from Notes

 

To share files from Notes to LEAP on your mobile, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Open Notes.

  2. Tap the import icon once you have finished your note.

  3. Find and tap .

  4. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  5. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  6. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from OneNote

 

To share files from OneNote to LEAP on your mobile, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Open OneNote.

  2. Tap the import icon once you have finished your note.

  3. Find and tap .

  4. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  5. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  6. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from Photos

 

To share files from Photos to LEAP on your mobile, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Tap the photo you wish to save to a matter.

  3. Tap the import icon.

  4. Find and tap .

  5. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  6. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  7. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from a Matter to Other Apps

 

  1. Open the matter.

  2. Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.

  3. Open the file.

  4. Tap then Share.

  5. Tap More Share Options.

  6. Select the app you want to share the file with.

  7. Complete the details as required for the selected app.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from OneNote

 

  1. Open OneNote.

  2. Tap the import icon once you have finished your note.

  3. Find and tap .

  4. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  5. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  6. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from Photos

 

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Tap the photo you wish to save to a matter.

  3. Tap the import icon.

  4. Find and tap .

  5. Tap Matter and select the LEAP matter to which the file will be saved.

  6. Tap Folder to assign the files to a specific folder within the selected LEAP matter, if required.

  7. Tap Save.

    The file will appear under Correspondence of the selected matter.

Sharing Files from a Matter to Other Apps

 

  1. Open the matter.

  2. Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.

  3. Open the file.

  4. Tap then Share.

  5. Tap More Share Options.

  6. Select the app you want to share the file with.

  7. Complete the details as required for the selected app.

Sharing Files to a Matter in LEAP

 

Save External Files to LEAP

 

You can save files outside of LEAP into a Matter.

  1. Open the file outside of LEAP.

  2. Press and hold to select the file(s) you want to share from your File Manager.

    You can select multiple files by pressing and holding the files you wish to share.

  3. Select the Share option at the bottom of your screen.

    If you can't see LEAP in the Quick Actions list, tap the button to open the all Apps window with more sharing options.

  4. Select LEAP from the available Apps.

    If this is the first time you are sharing files from your device with LEAP, you will be prompted to grant LEAP access. Select Limited or All to allow the access you want.

  5. The Share to LEAP window will open with the selected file/s in the list.

    Not all files can be saved to LEAP. Files that are not supported or exceed the maximum file size of 100MB will display an to the right of the file name and can be removed by tapping the X.

  6. Tap Select Matter.

    Select the matter that you wish the file(s) to be saved to from your available matters.

    If you've selected the wrong matter, tap Change Matter to select another matter from the list.

  7. Tap Save and close the window.

The file will be saved to the selected matter's Correspondence tab.

Save Text from Notes to LEAP

 

You can save your Android Notes as a Comment in your LEAP Matter.

  1. Open the Notes app on your mobile device.

  2. Select the note that you wish to save to your LEAP matter.

  3. Tap the icon in the top right corner.

  4. Select the Share icon > Text File.

    If you can't see LEAP in the Quick Actions list, tap the  button to open the all Apps window with more sharing options.

  5. Select LEAP from the available Apps.

  6. The Share to LEAP window will open with the content of the note displaying as a comment.

  7. Tap Select Matter.

    Select the matter that you wish the notes to be saved to from your available matters.

    If you've selected the wrong matter, tap Change Matter to select another matter from the list.

  8. Tap Save and close the window.

The note's content will be saved as a comment and can be found in the Correspondence tab of the matter.

Share Files Between Matters in LEAP

 

You are able to share a file/document between matters in LEAP Mobile.

  1. Open your matter.

  2. Select and open the file you wish to share to another matter.

  3. Tap the icon in the top right corner.

    The Action window will pop up.

  4. Tap More Share Options.

    The Share window will pop up.

  5. Select LEAP from the list of available apps.

    Select Just once or Always to set your preference.

  6. The Share to LEAP window will open with the selected file in the list.

  7. Tap Select Matter.

    Select the matter that you wish the notes to be saved to from your available matters.

    If you've selected the wrong matter, tap Change Matter to select another matter from the list.

  8. Tap Save and close the window.

The file will be shared between the matters meaning both matters will have a copy of the file/document.

Sharing Files from a Matter to Other Apps

 

  1. Open the matter.

  2. Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.

  3. Open the file.

  4. Tap User-added image then More Share Options.

  5. Select the app you want to share the file with.

  6. Complete the details as required for the selected app.
