How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Accounting > Reports > Management > Staff Invoiced Funds.

Purpose: Displays a Staff member's fee contribution to invoices within a specified billing period.

Report Trigger: The report will list invoices created within the specified period and assess the selected Staff's contribution based on billed Professional Fees (Time & Fees) attributed to them. This attribution is indicated by their names being selected for the entry, as illustrated in the example below. The contribution calculation also considers any adjustments made, including those made through invoice adjustment and fee reallocation. A staff member can be designated as a contributor solely through fee reallocation. It is important to note that the report is dynamic, and its outcomes may change upon reprinting.

Regarding the Include Inactive Staff filter, please note:

A Staff member is considered Inactive if the member's Current Staff Member option is togged off under the Access & Permissions in the Staff Details window (Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Firm > Staff > members).
If you suspect missing entries for a particular staff member in the generated report, switch the Include Inactive Staff filter to Yes (if it was previously set to No), and then regenerate the report. This can prevent unintentional omissions caused by changes in Staff management. For instance, an invoice will be excluded if a Staff member has been associated with two Staff accounts, and the one used to create the invoice has since become inactive.
When you change the selection for 'Include Inactive Staff' (from Yes to No or vice versa), the Staff dropdown list will be updated accordingly.

Filters:

Date range	Displays staff members contribution based on invoice within the choosen date range.
Billing Category	Filter results to display all or only the categories selected.
Staff	Consists of two filters: 1. Include Inactive Staff: Yes: Include inactive Staff members in the 'Staff' list for selection. No: Exclude inactive Staff members in the 'Staff' list for selection. 2. Staff list for selection. NOTE: When you change the selection for Include Inactive Staff (from Yes to No or vice versa), the Staff drop-down list will be updated accordingly.
Display	Consists of two filters: 1. Group By: Allows users to group the list by: None Month Billing Category NOTE: The 'Month' option is useful for reviewing monthly contribution of staff members. 2. Expand Row Groups: No: When set to 'No', the grouped rows remain collapsed, showing only the group headers. Yes: When set to 'Yes', all grouped rows are expanded, displaying all rows within each group. NOTE: There are three levels of details within this report: Only display Staff Name, Fees, Adjustments and Contribution (when 'Expand Row Groups' is set to No) Further add Transaction No., Matter No., Invoice Status and Invoice Total Further add Billing Description (when 'Expand Row Groups' is set to Yes)
Invoices	Allows users to control which invoices are included in the contribution evaluation by selecting from different invoice statuses. Draft Unapproved Draft Approved Printed Sent (Final)
Inc Tax	Displays amounts inclusive or exclusive of tax.

Report Fields:

Staff Name/Transaction No.	Displays the following information: The staff member who contributed to invoices The transaction number of the relevant invoice
When group rows are expanded	Further add Transaction Date., Matter No., Invoice Status, Billing Description and Invoice Total of the relevant invoice. Transaction Date: The transaction date of the invoice. Matter No.: The number of the matter the invoice is associated with. Invoice Status: The status of the invoice. Billing Description: The invoice's billing description. Invoice Total: The total value of the invoice (including all rofessional fees and disbursements). NOTE: Billing Description is only included when the Invoice row is expanded. Whether the 'Invoice Total' amount is exclusive or inclusive of tax is determined by your 'Inc Tax' settings.
Fees	Staff members' fee contribution to the invoice (before adjustments).
Adjustments	Adjustments against the Staff members' professional fees, which typically results from invoice adjustment but can also occur due to fee reallocation. This includes adjustments made after the specified period.
Contribution	Staff members' contribution to the invoice (after adjustments).

Advanced Tips:

The report is dynamic, and its outcomes may change upon reprinting (with the same filter settings). This can occur due to the following changes made between two report generation times:

Modification of a draft invoice's date, which may have the effect of including or excluding a draft invoice (or its finalised version) from the report.
Modification of a draft invoice's billed fee amount, affecting a Staff member's contribution amount in relation to the draft invoice or its finalised version.
Deletion of a draft invoice.
Adjustments made to contributions (through invoice adjustment or fee reallocation) after the specified period. This is specific to finalised invoices.

The report incorporates the above changes to ensure accurate representation of Staff contribution. If you're focusing on contributions related to finalised invoices only, please set the Invoice filter to Printed Sent (Final) only.
