The Stamp Duty Calculator has been updated in line with the Autumn 2024 Irish Stamp Duty changes.
These changes include:
- Introduction of a new 6% Stamp Duty rate for residential properties valued above €1.5 million, in addition to existing rates of 1% and 2% for lower value brackets.
- Increase in the Stamp Duty rate for bulk purchases of residential properties (excluding apartments) by companies or institutional investors from 10% to 15%.
These rates are effective for matters with a Date Opened or a Completion Date on or after 2nd October 2024. However, if the Contract was signed and deemed legally binding prior to 2nd October 2024 and the Closing Date is before 1st January 2025, the previous rate will be applied.
LEAP has updated the Revenue.ie forms under the Licensing area of law in line with the latest version published on 1 August 2023.
The forms updated include:
- Form Passenger Aircraft Licence First Time Application
- Form Amusement Machine Permit and Amusement Machine Licence First Time Application
LEAP has released version updates for the following forms within the Immigration area of law
- Form 8 - Application by a person of full age for naturalisation as an Irish citizen
- Form 9 - Application for a Certificate of Naturalisation by a naturalised Irish citizen acting on behalf of his/her minor child
- Form 10 - Application for a Certificate of Naturalisation by a Parent or Guardian acting on behalf of a minor of Irish descent or Irish Associations
- Form 11 - Application by a parent or guardian of, or person who is in loco parentis to a minor born in the state who did not at birth have an entitlement to Irish citizenship under Section 6A of the Act of 1956
These updates are being made in line with versions released by the form's publishing body in February 2023.
